New IIP Facility Inaugurated in Bengaluru to Boost Packaging Education and Research

• The new IIP Bengaluru campus will serve as a hub for packaging research, testing, certification, and innovation.
• It aims to integrate AI-enabled testing, data analytics, and smart packaging demonstrations to promote sustainable and intelligent packaging technologies.
• The facility will help build capacity, enhance skill development, and encourage industry–academia collaboration in next-generation packaging systems.

• The packaging industry provides direct and indirect employment to over 5 million people in India.
• It supports sectors such as design, manufacturing, testing, logistics, exports, and retail.
• The new IIP facility will strengthen India’s packaging value chain and contribute to Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by promoting innovation-led growth.

• Promote India’s export market through innovative package design and development.
