Physical Standards for Assistant Traffic Inspector (Grade-3):

• Male: Height - 163 cms, Weight - 55 Kgs
• Female: Height - 153 cms, Weight - 50 Kgs

Age Limit & Relaxations

Minimum Age: 18 years (as on last date of application)

Maximum Age (Includes 3 years one-time relaxation):

• General Merit: 38 years
• Cat 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B: 41 years
• SC/ST/Cat-1: 43 years

Further Age Relaxation (Not for NWKRTC & KKRTC):

• Govt./PSU Service: Up to 10 years (based on service length)
• Ex-Servicemen: Service years + 3 years
• NCC Instructors: Service years
• Census Employees: Up to 5 years (based on service length)
• Differently Abled: 10 years
• Widows: 10 years
• Bonded Labourers: 10 years

Age Relaxation (NWKRTC & KKRTC Only):

• Departmental Candidates: Up to 10 years (based on service, max age 45)
• Ex-Servicemen: Service years + 3 years (max age 45)

Application Fee (Online Payment Only):

*PwD not eligible for Asst. Traffic Inspector & Conductor posts.

Fee is non-refundable. For multiple posts under the same syllabus, pay base fee + Rs. 100/- per additional post.

Examination Method & Kannada Test

Mode: Offline OMR Based.

Centers: Bengaluru, Mysuru, Davanagere, DK, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Dharwad, Ballari, Koppal, Vijayapura, Tumakuru, Kalaburagi (subject to change).

Admit Card: Download from KEA website. Original Photo ID mandatory at center.

Compulsory Kannada Language Test:

• Exemption: Studied Kannada (1st/2nd Lang) in SSLC/Equivalent OR passed KEA/KPSC Kannada test before.
• For Others: 150 Marks (MCQ), Qualify with Min 50 Marks. SSLC 1st Lang Kannada level. Marks not for merit. Failure/Absence = Disqualification.
• Not Applicable: Only for NWKRTC/KKRTC applicants.

Kannada Knowledge (NWKRTC/KKRTC Only):

Must have studied Kannada (1st/2nd Lang) in SSLC/Equivalent, OR pass a test conducted by the corporation (one attempt).

Group B Posts (Jr. Programmer, Asst. Engineer-Civil)

Paper 1: General Paper (300 Marks, 2 Hours)

• Current Events, General Science, Karnataka History & Geography, Indian History & Geography, Social Science, General Mental Ability, Indian Constitution, Public Administration, Rural Development, Science & Technology, Indian Economy, International Relations, Environmental Science, Logical Reasoning, Everyday Observation, Practical knowledge related to qualification.

Paper 2: Specific Paper (300 Marks, 2 Hours)

Syllabus related to the specific post (Junior Programmer / Civil Engineering).

Group C Posts (FDA, Asst/Asst. Lib, Asst. Acct, Jr. Officer, Librarian, Jr. Engineer-Civil)

Paper 1: General Knowledge (100 Marks, 2 Hours)

• Current Events, General Science, Geography, Social Science, Indian Society & History, Indian & Karnataka History, Indian Constitution & Public Admin, Mental Ability (SSLC Level), Social & Cultural History of Karnataka, Post-Independence Land Reforms & Social Changes, Karnataka Economy, Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Science & Tech in Karnataka Admin, Environmental Issues & Development in Karnataka, Mental Ability.

Paper 2: Communication / Specific (100 Marks, 2 Hours)

Common Section (for FDA, Asst, Asst Lib, Asst Acct, Lib, Jr Eng):

• General Kannada
• General English
• Computer Knowledge

Specific Section (Only for Jr. Officer Posts - instead of Common Section):

Jr. Officer (QAD): Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Interdisciplinary Topics.

Jr. Officer (Prod & Maint): Soap Production, Raw Material, Packaging, HSE, Automotive Systems, Engines, Design, Machine Tools, Surface Engg, Thermal Mgmt, Mechatronics, Supply Chain Mgmt.

Jr. Officer (Materials/Stores): Material Mgmt (Policy, Planning, ABC, Codification etc.), Purchase Mgmt (Systems, Forecasting, Legal etc.), Warehousing (Systems, Accounting, Scrap Mgmt etc.), Inventory Mgmt (EOQ, PERT etc.).

Group C Posts (SDA, Jr. Assistant, Asst. Traffic Inspector, Conductor)

Paper 1: General Knowledge (100 Marks, 2 Hours)

• Current Events, Everyday Observation, Indian Constitution Overview, Indian History (ref: Karnataka), Indian Geography (ref: Karnataka), State & Regional Admin, Karnataka Economy (Rural Dev, Panchayat Raj), Environmental Issues & Development in Karnataka.

Paper 2: Communication (100 Marks, 2 Hours)

• General Kannada
• General English
• Computer Knowledge

Min Qualifying Marks: 35% aggregate (30% for NWKRTC/KKRTC posts).

Negative Marking

• Each question has 4 options; select one correct answer.
• 1/4 (0.25) marks deducted for each wrong answer.
• 5th bubble provided on OMR for unanswered questions (shade during extra 5 mins post-exam).
• 1/4 (0.25) marks deducted for each question where NO bubble is shaded.

Selection Procedure

For Asst. Traffic Inspector (NWKRTC) & Conductor, Asst. Accountant (KKRTC):

Selection based on merit combining:

• 75% weightage to marks from General Aptitude Test (OMR).
• 25% weightage to marks from qualifying academic examination.

Candidates called for Document Verification / Physical Fitness test based on merit & reservation.

For All Other Posts:

Selection based purely on marks from the competitive exam (Paper-1 & Paper-2 where applicable), following reservation rules. Candidates called for Document Verification based on merit.

Eligibility Conditions

• Must be an Indian Citizen.
• Marriage rules apply (regarding multiple spouses).
• Must be mentally & physically healthy.
• Government reserves right to reject based on Medical Board.
• Not permanently debarred from exams/recruitment.
• Temporarily debarred require Govt. reconsideration.
• Not dismissed/removed from service for misconduct.

Reservation Certificates

Must possess valid certificates (issued by Tahsildar before application last date) in prescribed format:

• SC/ST: Form 'D'
• Category-1: Form 'E'
• Category-2A, 2B, 3A, 3B: Form 'F' (Must be valid on application last date; 5-year validity).

Certificates must be for employment purposes. Married women (OBC) need certificate based on father's details.

Other Reservations (Require specific certificates):

• Ex-Servicemen: Discharge/Dependency Certificate.
• Rural Candidate: Form-2 (from School/BEO); Form-1 (Non-Creamy Layer from Tahsildar for GM-Rural).
• Kannada Medium: Certificate from School Headmaster (1st-10th Std).
• PwD: >=40% disability certificate from Medical Authority.
• Transgender: Certificate from District Magistrate.
• Project Displaced: Certificate from Tahsildar (Displacement within last 25 years).

Original certificates required during verification.

Important Instructions

1. Upload photo (50-200KB JPEG) & signature (50-70KB JPEG) correctly.
2. Keep original documents ready before applying (obtained before last date).
3. Required Docs: Aadhaar, Marksheets/Degree, SSLC (DOB), Caste/Income, Rural, Kannada Medium, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, Widow, Experience, NOC (if applicable), Transgender certs.
4. Keep application printout & fee challan safe.
5. No changes possible after final submission.
6. Serving candidates need NOC.
7. Fee payment last date extends if it's a holiday.
8. NWKRTC/KKRTC postings are permanent within the respective corporation.
9. Mobile/Email in application is final.
10. Awaiting results are not eligible.
11. Selection held if certificate discrepancies arise.
12. Read instructions before applying; false info leads to disqualification.
13. Applicant responsible for errors/omissions.
14. Canvassing/Malpractice leads to disqualification.
15. KKRTC/NWKRTC employees eligible for Gratuity.
